Intergenerational workshop in the baobab kitchen. Older and younger participants of the workshop will prepare vegan dishes together under the supervision of experts.
We will treat the participants and guests of the Intergenerational Day with the cooked food.
A concert of scholarship holders of the Homo Faber Association Development Scholarship Program consisting of:
- Guitar ensemble under the supervision of Mirek Sokolowski,
- Children's choir "Veselyky" under the supervision of Galina Navrocka,
- the musical duo of Galina and Alexander Navrocki (an elderly couple who teach children as part of the HF scholarship program for talented young people),
- a mother-daughter vocal duo.
All of the older and younger performers who will take part in the concert are refugees from Ukraine living in Lublin. The concert will begin at 6p.m. and the creative program will last approximately 1.5 hours. After the concert, the audience will be invited to a joint tasting of the dishes prepared by the "culinary teams."
A specially organized photo area where a professional photographer will take pictures of the children present at the event and their guardians, who will want to get a photo as a memento. Printed photos will be available in the coming days at the Community Centre Lublin (information desk at baobab).
With the permission of the people photographed, the selected photos will be displayed during the World Refugee Day celebration.
The Memento area will be open during the event.
In the baobab playground area, children will create a collaborative artwork - an image of near and distant relatives on a long roll of paper hanging on the wall. Families, presented by their younger members, depicted on the long collaborative picture will create a huge family community. It would be a symbolic work that demonstrates solidarity, the experience of belonging and unity, which in the current context take on important new meanings.
