Is baobab a space for everyone? What languages do you speak? What can be cooked in your kitchen? How do you keep your space safe? What baobab rules are in place regarding alcohol and other substances? What initiatives do you undertake to protect the environment?
We briefly and succinctly answer these and other questions in a new series of posts — about the principles of baobab.
The first principle is as follows:
Diversity — our space is for everyone, regardless of identity differences. We want people of different nationalities, from different cultures, sexual and religious minorities, the young and old, women and men to feel comfortable here. Anyone and everyone. It is important for us not to impose our views on others, but to approach people different from us with interest and openness. Respecting diversity, we do not promote any particular group, and we try to be free of ideologies, symbols or other ideas that differentiate people. We are apolitical and areligious.
In next videos we will tell you about more principles. Stay tuned for more!
