On Wednesday, July 31 at 6:00 PM at Baobab, dance classes will be held!
We invite everyone: both those who can dance and those who have never danced before.
• You will learn the basic movements of Belarusian dance, their history, meaning, and characteristics.
• You will find out which dances have survived to this day and in what form they exist.
• You will learn 3 types of traditional Belarusian dance: "Lavonikha", "Polka", "Krakowiak".
The classes will be conducted by Alesia Seraya - a professional dancer and choreographer, a performer from Homel (Belarus). She conducts dance and movement practices, contact improvisation, and rebozo massage.
Alesia tells: "I encountered Belarusian dance while studying at College of Arts. I had wonderful teachers: Oksana Aleksandrovna Rozhkova and Iryna Viktorovna Musatova. During my work at the art school, my colleagues invited me to participate in performances based on Belarusian dance".
