Lublin Refugee Centre

As part of this programme, we organise and offer complex support for the refugees who need to enter the Polish labour market. The support includes the particularities of our region.

The Homo Faber Association together with the Lublin Commune is carrying out a public task called “the Lublin Refugee Centre”.

As part of this programme, we organise and offer complex support for the refugees who need to enter the Polish labour market. The support includes the particularities of our region.

What this programme offers:

  • Free psychological support – psychologists and psychosocial skills trainers work with people in groups or individually.
  • Free legal aid – lawyers with experience in labour law and migration law offer free legal consultations and help with filling out documents and writing letters. They are also eager to explain the Polish labour law and the employment conditions.
  • Free language courses for children, teenagers and adults. Moreover, the language courses will include business English courses specialising in the job sectors which are most in demand in our region.
  • The intensive business Polish courses will specialise in medical, legal and pedagogic fields. These language courses will additionally inform the participants about the formal requirements required by Polish legislation for the positions of a nurse, doctor, lawyer and teacher.
  • Free assistance in running errands in public institutions and in translation (official, living and medical matters).
  • Support for integration of the refugees in preschools and schools – after completing a business English course, the refugees will be directed to educational institutions to do a work placement for six months. The refugees will provide help with integration to the Ukrainian students who continue their education in educational institutions in Lublin.

 

Name of the task: Integration of the refugees on the labour market as part of the Competition “Together We Can Do More”.

Type of project: This activity works in favour of professional activation and social integration of the refugees who stay in Poland legally.

Funder: Ministry of Family and Social Policy. The task is financed from the Labour Fund Reserve.
