Co-founder of the Homo Faber association (2004), member of the board.
From 1997 he has been a member of Amnesty International, serving as a board member of the Polish section three times.
He is a Journalism graduate of the Faculty of Political Science at UMCS in Lublin. He is also a graduate of the Human Rights School of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights and a co-founder of Homo Faber (2004). He is a lecturer at the Department of International Relations at the University of Entrepreneurship and Administration in Lublin.
Piotr conducts trainings in human rights, anti-discrimination, counteracting peer violence, social participation, and the creation and work of non-governmental organizations.
In the years 2012–2014, he coordinated the project “Lublin for All” / “Lublin dla Wszystkich” implemented by the Chancellery of the Mayor of Lublin, aimed at creating and implementing a participatory diversity management system at the Lublin City Hall (the project is partially a consequence of Homo Faber’s monitoring activities). During his two-year observation of how foreigners integrate in Lublin, he learnt a lot, which allowed him to help improve the system.
Since 2018, he has been cooperating with the Warsaw Center for Educational and Social Innovation and Training on the systemic anti-violence program in Warsaw schools. He runs workshops for teachers on diagnosing, preventing, and responding to peer violence.
Piotr is a mediator with a diploma from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw. He works in the Anti-Discrimination program, where he mainly deals with activities related to supporting people experiencing discrimination and observing how public institutions fulfil their obligations in the field of human rights.
