A year and a half of drought in Kenya's Laikipia region prompts desperate pastoralists to rebel against a ban on grazing animals on land occupied by European settlers. A film about identity, the complicated legacy of British colonialism, and who decides who has access to natural resources, especially in areas where climate change is having its deepest impact.

25' 2024 Ukraine, English subtitles;
Footage shot by Ukrainian filmmakers during expeditions to Siberia during Soviet times has been used by the filmmakers to create an essay on Russian imperialism. Discovered after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, the images bear witness to the scale of destruction that has always been a consequence of Russia’s colonial ambitions, whether it’s the exploitation of local populations or the devastation of the natural environment.

4.20 pm - "Black Sheep"
27' 2018 UK, movie in english;
When a black boy is murdered in the area, the Walker family moves out of London to seek refuge in the suburbs. However, the move does not bring the expected results. Teenage Cornelius also experiences violence in his new place of residence - this time racially motivated. To stop it, the boy decides to befriend his teenage bullies. He wants to become one of them. "Black Sheep" blurs the lines between documentary and fiction and touches on universal issues of identity, adolescence and intolerance. The film was nominated for an Oscar.
4.00 pm - "Adidas Owns the Reality"
21' 2024 USA, English subtitles;
The Yes Men – specialists in framing corporations – this time target Adidas, which they accuse of ruthlessly exploiting workers in Asia. By impersonating the giant with the help of a well-thought-out campaign (and a crazy fashion collection at Berlin Fashion Week), they will force it to officially disassociate itself from their idea. And that will be an admission of unethical practices…
4.30 pm - "La Base"
72' 2023 France, English subtitles;
The titular base, located at one of the continent's largest airports, is a place where hundreds of Parisian taxi drivers wait for their next ride. They are all migrants – being in a place where planes from all over the world are constantly landing gives them a taste of contact with their homeland, often thousands of kilometres away.
